Subject: [CR]identifying my old Holdswoth bike

Hi Im new to this list and was hoping someone might be able to help me identify my old bike.

First, a little about me. I live in Auckland , New Zealand after leaving the UK with my family in 1985. My dad is an avid Hetchins fan and has several of them, and I just have an old Holdsworth.

I bought the frame second hand and built a bike out of it when I was 14. When I got it , it was a pinky lilac colour.

My dad thought it was a pre-war model but I don't know.

I can only find a serial number on the forks, which is 24580 M after looking at all the other recommended spots for one.

It does not have the long pointy bits on the lug work, and does have a Holdsworth badge on the front.

I tried the website http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/ but he says he is having a break from answering emails.

Any help would really be appreciated.

I hope to identify the model and then try and restore it to is original colours and decals, etc.

Thanks
Michael.
