Years ago Bicycle Guide did a side by side test of 4 bikes: Lugged steel, Tigged steel, tigged aluminum, and one other which I forget. I also forget the results. Anyone have a copy of the article?
Dirtrag might be a good forum for this test too.

Don,
I am not aware of any such as doing a comparison of the US, Japanese and Taiwanese Rivendell made/marketed frame but I think it would be interesting to read. Who would be the best venue to conduct the test? Bicycling Magazine? Vintage Bicycle Quarterly? Asphalt (are they still publishing), The Rivendell Reader? Interesting thought!
