This is finally an interesting topic. I size my bikes at 61cm normally but recently got a Tommaso that's 64cm. Works just fine. By comfortable do you mean that the jewels are safe if you have to do a straddle get-off? Haven't ever done one of those in 50 years. I think we can ride bikes bigger than the normal standover 1" clearance. And when I ride the Tommaso I do. No ill effects. And when I do a forced getoff I'm usually diving to one side.
