Hey Tony, The Mike Walden Velodrome at Bloomer Park is banked at 44 deg. in the turns. I think several on-topic and/or KOF bikes show up there on a regular basis. I rode it a few times, and had a great fall once, on my 1973 Paramount track bike (frameset has since been sold). Perhaps I'm too new to velo sport, but I don't understand what you mean about it being to short to stop easily. Most people around here think that the 44 deg. is too STEEP for safety. Albeit, I really don't understand that either, since only about 15 mph is required to stay up on the curves. Been thinking about going there soon myself...

Was it ten laps for a kilometer on the Delhi track? There must have been some particular concerns on a track that small. Was there a problem getting stopped? I rode the 200 m track at Detroit recently and had problems with that. The banking was only 50 degrees? I thought tracks that small were at least 55 degrees. The track at Indianapolis in 1937 was one twelfth of a mile with 56.5 degrees on the curves and 32 degrees on the straights! Was it heated? It looks like guys were wearing short sleeves.
