I hear you Reid . I feel the pain .

But you see , just before I took a vacation from the list ( 2 years ago ? maybe ? ) a certain list-member gave us all some FANTASTIC deals on NEW still-in-the-original-boxes Mafac Racer Brake sets ( bargains , bargains , bargains ! ) . So , many of us have spare sets stored up , complete , still in the cute little boxes .

Mafac Racer Brakes are GREAT brakes ! Although , as many of us know , you have to set them up just right , to avoid squeeling .

You may need to sell your incomplete set for $ 4.98 , or less . You might think of making them "free to a loving home if somebody will pay shipping" .

Check to see that they do have "RACER" stamped into them . Check to see that they do have the red plastic bushings . The older , and MUCH more valuable versions were stamped "DURAL FORGE" . And the really nice older versions have bronze bushings .

Cheers , Raoul Delmare Marysvillle Kansas U.S.A.
