When I raced, I ended up with two bikes, a road bike, a Masi, and a criterium bike, a Harry Quinn with an outrageously high BB and 167.5 cranks, it made the top podium spot easier to obtain. Many a guy on my wheel hit a pedal as they tried to follow my actions through a corner. I agree, bikes like that were not good for centuries.
If I had to have only ONE road bike it would have been my LeJeune, one I sold before getting the Quinn and bought back six years later. But that may change soon.
Everyone probably has that ONE bike, are still searching for it, or scouting to recapture a sister of it.
For some its the PX-10, no problem. I used to be sponsored by Peugeot, too bad the West Coast distributor did not stock the 22" frame size back then.
So on a more positive note, what are members' top one or, up to three favorite road bikes? And why?
