Thanks Sergio,

We're going to Vernazza for a week (from Malpensa via Milano) and may visit Sienna or Firenze (certainly Pisa, Lucca and the beach below Corniglia) but not quite into the heart of Tuscany. Do you know of any flea markets or specific advertising sources (internet groups, newspaper classified advertisments, that sort of thing) where people list things (like old bicycles) they want to sell in that general area of Italy?

My only game plan right now is to find as many bicycle shops as possible and see if they have anything. I cycled from from Bologna to Verduno a couple of years ago, stopped in 4 or 5 shops and saw nothing old, steel and lightweight. Aluminum city bikes and racing carbon seemed to be all the rage. Still, you never know so I'll try again. At any rate, if you can think of anything else that might help I'd be most appreciative.

Then we'll be near Avignon for a week. Same drill.

Thanks again,

John Clay Tallahassee, FL
