I have some sentiment that a classic commuter should have a high funk factor.
Mine is a maserati that was low end and has about as much patina as a bike can have.
replaced campagnolo, universal, ttt, baleri, gnutti, and ofmega stuff with the following
araya 27 rims suzue hubs Tioga blood sport 27 x 1 3/8 nobbies Slimed inner tubes Suntour spirt reverse shifting front de Suntour ag alpine rear der with matching 14x38 five speed freewheel Suntour stem shifters. The long ones with the solid axle Shimano tourney crank Steel randonner handlebars with corks in the end Weinmann cp brakes Diacompe levers with extension levers and cable adjusters Grab On foam Greenfield kickstand Pletcher front and rear rack Steel fenders Hunt wilde mud flaps Double ringing bell Brooks pin spring saddle
None of it is polished or cleaned up. Awesome and no one would steal it.
