Thanks to the fellow list member who recommended the paperback novel "Home to Italy" last week. Its author is Peter Pezzelli. The nice part about it is that several were available on Ebay for about $5 inclucing shipping. Interesting... some were 50 cents with $4.50 shipping and some were $2.50 with $2.50 shipping. It's a novel about a widowed man who leaves his home in America and travels back to his birthplace in Italy. There are many chapters filled with the stories about what a late middle aged man and former bike racer endures and enjoys about informal team rides through the mountainside rural communities of Italy. I have taken quite a few jabs from my wife that supposedly only reads high literature. Mid level entertaining trash or not.. I am loving it. It should be required reading for all list members and part of next month's book club discussion. Whomever is selling these books on Ebay is making minimal profit, if any, and you'll receive your copy within a week of ordering.
