I remember reading a british cycling newspaper from 1979. (I was in school winter of 1980) It had pix of a british TT bike with 6 (or 8) spokes. I remember it well because it had 76 parallel angles and about 1 in. of rake. I bet it knocked your fillings out. Only mad dogs and englishmen....... Not exactly disc wheel but I don't think the first ones came out too much later.
