If you want to say that $900 is too much for a PX-10, then be my guest. If you want to say that they didn't handle or in some other way were inferior bikes, go ahead, but if you want to hurl complete condemnations of the bike on the basis of unfiled lugs, then that's going too far. I know for a fact that many, many list members love these things, and I myself think that they are beautiful. After all, this is a classic rendezvous, and like it or not, these PX -10's are as much classics as 3Renshos or Raleighs or Bianchis or even, gasp, Masis. This is not an opinion either. It is simply an historical fact. I have no desire to alienate the third of list members that love these bikes and own them. There are quite a few members who would prefer having one of these mint bikes, to having dinner with Sophia Loren or Paul Neuman, who are also classics. There is something summed up in the sight of a PX-10 which brings back all the romance and charm of the era. This is indeed an old friend, making a surprise visit, and looking so handsome for all the years that have passed. Vive la bicyclette francaise. Vive Peugeot.
