DON'S QUERY ABOUT IRISH BUILDERS
Don, I am an Ulsterman.... there are a few small framebuilders to my knowledge worthy of note namely Tommy Graham, TJ GRAHAM Ballybogey Ballymoney Co. Antrim and further south near BELFAST there were others of note , GORDON BROS.. of Hillsborough co. Down RAFTER Belfast and DONALDSON again BELFAST. most of these operated small businesses and catered for club racing men... typical spec likely reynolds 531/531c 72 or 73 parallell lugged and built with the lugs available at the time mostly nervex et al and the period would be late 40's to 80's.. I would not claim to be a great authority on the Ulster builders or indeed the Republic of Ireland. however i do know a couple of guys who would have chapter and verse if the list reckons them worthy of KOF interest.. In my own small collection i have a GORDON dated at mid 70's original paint and decals will send you a j'peg or two if you wish, i also had a 1955 GRAHAM. which i enjoyed very much and restored to a decent rideable spec and it was a great ride ... i lent it to a fellow collector and he prevailed upon my good nature with folding paper .
