Edwardes who were a low end cycle shop and wholesaler bought the Gillott name in 1963. Very quickly they cheapened the frames though Ron Cooper still built frames under the Gillott name until the early 1970s but Edwardes bought in frames and badged them as Gillotts - some were OK frames such as Holdsworth Mistrals and some were not - this is almost certainly a cheap Raleigh frame, it is known Edwardes bought a batch of Raleighs and rebadged them.
