I would attempt this experiment with great care... after a liberal application of mink oil to my saddle many years ago, I was plagued for an entire summer by packs of amorous minks, to the point that I finally had to ditch the saddle (actually, I sold it to an unsuspecting fellow cyclist who I didn't care for much). I suspect that the injudicious use of eucalyptus oil might make one similarly susceptible to bands of marauding koala bears, though I suppose with luck one might not enounter too many of them here in the states.
