Hi again, all -

Following on to my last, I thought some of you might like to look at this webpage:

http://www.localhistory.scit.wlv.ac.uk/Museum/Transport/bicycles/racing.htm

- where you will find some fascinating stuff on the very earliest bike-racing days in England - more specifically in the Midlands, which is (arguably) where the action kicked off first. (Also on this site is more info. on Percy Stallard's involvement with the history of the BLRC - which he founded - and the NCU.... all of which is mostly accurate, as far as I can see - except for a howler with at least one date.... e.g. the bit that suggests road racing in Britain didn't become legal until 1960!)

Cheers
