Well folks you learn a little more each day do 'nt we ! The Claud Butler Avant Coureur No.91543 Circa 1947 was owned by myself a nd re-enamelled , as shown, by Mario Vaz of South London and not Holdsworth of Putney as claimed. The finished paint work in Ruby Flam was as stated a n excellent job and to this day Mario has still got the picture proudly han ging up in his workshop. I sold the frame to a well known former member and contributor of the listing late last year. I was the second owner of the complete bike at the time I bought it which had been stored in roof space for many years and was free from any rusting or damage. Whoever wins the final bid will have a excellent frame but I wanted to put the record straight regarding its restoration. Doug Smith North Dorset UK
