I may be mistaken, but I think Alex Steida is Canadian! Edward Albert, Chappaqua, NY, USA

Was anyone else there on this list? Anyways, someone asked Chris something I was always wondering, and that is why Lance said after the NYC Marathon, that it was the hardest thing he has ever done. For me, and many others, it didn't make sense. After all, how could someone say that after experiencing the Tour de France, etc. Chris's answer was that he said that because it was true. And the reason for that fact was because he says Lance didn't train for the marathon. Chris said that he never ran further than 11 miles and simply didn't put any seriousness to the event at all. To add to that, Chris said that Lance had to be wheeled off in a cart because he couldn't walk after the marathon. Anyways, I was pleased to have gotten to the bottom of answering a question that many have had. Other than that there were some really good TdF stories about the 1986 TdF, when the first American team (7-11) entered the race. I can share more of the stories if you guys are interested. Just email me and I will post them. Another good story is how in their first race (prologue of the TdF), they took the yellow jersey and managed to almost be eliminated from the entire race in the second stage, because they only made the cutoff time by 38 seconds while America's Alex Steida was wearing the yellow jersey! Amazing story, I think.
