I'm planning on listing this frameset on ebay, but would rather trade for a similar top-tier Italian road or track frame in my size. If you have something in this vein in a 54 or 55 c-t and are interested in a swap please let me know.
This is a late 1971 or 1972 Italian Masi Gran Criterium. It is in need of TOTAL restoration. There are no signs of any collision damage or any rust issues, but there is a nasty dent on the side of the downtube (maybe from being chained up?) that will need to be repaired.
BB stamped M58, fork stamped M58 and 1171.
Has shifter braze-ons and one set of H2O braze-ons which were most likely added at some point?
The chrome on the fork crown is not bad. There's light scratches in the finish but no rust or flaking. It might polish up ok as-is.
