Here is what the seller said when I questioned it being a DeRosa:

"Not bad information, no information. That is why I originally thought it to be a PX10. But when someone pointed out a discrepancy, I did some research. The frame itself most closely resembles a De Rosa, which is built with Columbus steel. Unfortunately, the De Rosa's most distinguishable element is heart cut-outs on parts that have been either replaced or customized on my bike. Therefore, it is quite possible that I am mistaken. Nevertheless, it is still a high-quality Chromoly steel frame with top-of-the-line braking and shifting."

In keeping with similar recent revelations, and since this seems a Japanese style frame, maybe it was built by Takumo Ugonito DeRusta, the illegimate son of Ugo by his Japanese girlfriend. Better check the exact spelling on those decals.

Hi all...

Since I always wanted a 64 De Rusta... oops (sp). I asked and was answered with serial number E423UI 64.

DeRosa serial number experts - please use your decoder rings.

I think I'll go down to the work shop and cobble a few more numbers into my 89 DeRosa (kof) frame. While there, I'll add a few more hearts too.
