Given that two CR listmembers have already bid on this bike: http://ebay.com/<blah> that others have undoubtedly given it a looksie, it should be pointed out that the seller has indicated that he has no desire to ship the bike abroad, whether to Britain or the US (in reference to the two CR list bidders who have already placed their bids). I have tried to explain how he would need to go about packing the bike for foreign delivery and given him the corresponding Italian post office website page with the costs, but so far he hasn't responded whether he might rethink the non-foreign delivery policy.

He has also added the fact that the rims have termite damage, but have been treated so that there isn't likely any live infestation anymore. This is good if you want the bike as a wall-hanger, but doesn't make the rims rideable. FYI, it would be quite simple to upgrade this to a derailleur operated bike by adding a Vittoria Margherita gear change system.
