I.ve never visited Trexeltown, but I have seen the Velodromes of San Diego, South Florida and NYC. The Velodrome of Mungersdorf near Koln Germany is simply of another species completely. This place is set up for huge crowds of spectators. It has all the facilities of an American Football stadiium. The stadium is nestled amidst the trees, and incorporates offices, all covered for year round use, three levels of access, parking facilities for thousands of cars, easy access to the street train that stops one block away, and a large staff of proffesionals that the German government feels such a facility deserves. Unfortunately I will not be able to see the stadium in action because it is temporarily closed for an after New Years cleaning. It seems clean enough to me, but thats Germany for you.
