it should be noted that this rule rose to enforced status because a couple of people were abusing the list. had those people not abused the list, we would not be having this conversation.
Had those folks posted five times with useful information, I doubt the rule would have come up..but the posts degenerated to static, and now we're in this position. I too find such a blanket rule less than welcome, but I don't own this list, either.
