A few years ago I did indeed see a completely white PX-10, with the usual Nervex Lugs, all original paint and decals, and the owner also had the original receipt from when the bake was purchased new, in the summer of 1970 or 1971 (I can't remember which). In this case the lugs were outlined in gold. I think that may have been the only year to offer the bikes without the black lugs on the white frame. With tax and a few other small items from the bike shop, the total sale amount was just over $200.

It was white, and as I recall the lugs were white but outlined in a light blue. I will have to go dig through boxes of old photos to see if there is a color photo of me on the bike to be sure. At that time, the bikes being sold at Collin's Cycle in Eugene, Oregon were either white, with black painted lugs, or dark blue, with black painted l ugs. Does the all-white sound credible? I do recall 531 stickers, it did h ave Stronglight cranks, 52/45 and 14/26 gearing (legs were stronger back th en); wheels had sewup tires, and the seat was a Brooks Pro..."
