Dee,

I simply had not had time to respond. Despite being an interesting group, I have plenty of other e-mail from other things to attend to and I will only be checking in every few days.

As far as I recall, Mario left Masi sometime in late 1975 or early 1976. Does that sound right Brian? I remember him at the November 1975 meeting.

Photo?...I have my jersey yet.

Our Carlsbad Bicycle Club jerseys were primarily white, with a red band and red shoulders with black lettering and trim. No Masi on there anywhere. As I mentioned, CBC was unsponsored until Auto Fast Freight came on for 1977 or 1978. Gian did have a blue and gold Masi jersey that he wore from time to time (as he did his G.S. Verona jersey).

I was simply a rider, I do not know the other particulars you are asking, sorry. Brian Baylis and Jim Cunningham worked there. I mainly knew Gian Simonetti because he was the "coach". Mario wandered through a couple of our meetings and a couple of times Gian took us into the factory work area after a meeting.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
