Happy Thanksgiving to the yanks, and I have no idea what you Brits think of our holiday, but have a happy and don't eat too much!
I have a 1953 Viking Team race frame that I suspect, "may" have belonged to Ian Steel, the winner of the 1951 Tour of Britain. It's obviously not the 1951 bike. There are decals on the seat tube bragging about all the wins in 1952, so it's a 1953 or later frame. It's 24" ctt, black with white seat tube paneland head tube, so may be the 6' Ian's size. It's clearly nicer than the average Viking, has special decals and offset Cyclo ends for the 4 speed kink body Cyclo rear gear.
I hear Mr. Steel may still be alive and I have been advised to contact the VCC in England. Does anyone have contact info for this research project? Please contact me off list.
