this sort of auction just cracks me up. Either the seller is completely naive about the market for vintage lightweights, or he's looking for a sucker.

I propose a realistic price for that bike of $350. That's all I'd pay for it, if it was my size. It's also about what you could probably get if you needed to sell it on ebay in 7 days. *maybe* you'd get 500. But, frankly, I doubt it. I actually think $350, shipped, is generous.

I'd be curious to know how the seller arrived at that price.

What do others think? Is my proposed price too low?
