Hi Doug, Lots of derailleurs will work fine with a TA crank. I've used both older campy double FD's and numerous 80's era SunTour FD's with good results. If you're going to run a triple, the 118 will probably be too short, unless it has a large drive side offset. I'm running a phil wood 119 with a 4mm offset. Without the offset, I think you need a 122 or thereabouts. If you find that your 118 won't work with your set-up, I'd be happy to buy it from you, as I'm looking for that length to set up a TA double on one of my bikes. Oh, and I'll also add that the older 6-7 speed FD's work just fine with campy 10 speed chains and ergo brifters.
