Mike Kelly Juneau, Alaska, US

I have been lurking for many years. I have learned a lot from the membership. Not much opportunity for one-2-one vintage bike conversation in Juneau Alaska so the list is a valuable asset. My special thanks to Angel Garcia for his assistance over the years. I particularly enjoy the international participation.

Joe Bell was kind enough to repaint a 1973 Super in Salmon Mettalic for me last spring that is stunning. Bruce Gordon and Ed Litton did a wonderfull job refurbing a 1982 BG for me. A 1982 Guerciotti that fits me better than any other frame. My wife rides a 1981 Alberto Masi prestige that she purchased from Alberto at the Vigorelli shop. We both ride Bob Jackson touring bikes from the late 70's.

Previous bikes enjoyed include a 1974 Alberto Masi twin plate now owned by Greg Parker. A 1974 Masi Cal repainted by Brian B. A 1971 Raleigh Pro and a 1980 Emiliano Freschi bought from his shop in Milano.

Future rides are a fancy lugged BJ rando frame. I decided I would rather support new KOF construction rather than find an old Hetchins to fit me.

I must say that after riding in northern Italy in Sept 2007 and seeing the amazing number of road riders everyday on the road, especial the over 60 year old riders/groups hammering up the steep climbs, I may have to rethink the time I spend working on old bikes.

Hello to you all, Mike Kelly, Juneau the capital of the State of Alaska, US.
