Had this happen to me a few weeks ago. Turns out that the seller's site had been hijacked.

This is caused by having an Ebay password that is not complicated enough! As the password cracking software is getting much more sophisticated; and available(!!); be sure all your passwords have letters and numbers, also use lower and uppercase, special characters where permitted etc. Oh, and don't use the same password for all your accounts...
