Doesn't the classic Primus, such as would have appeared under the
toptube of on-topic frames, burn kerosene (paraffin in the UK) - not
white gas? Mine does. Kerosene has more energy per unit volume, puts
out a lot of heat for a long time on one tank-full compared to white
gas. A bit harder to get started though.

...the bottom three photos, not the two on top which look chrome-plated?
Mine is brass or bronze. It is a thing of beauty. I love the Arabic
script stamped into the metal - I assume because they were (are?)
popular in Araby?
