I'd love to. But would sooner or later have to listen to the stories about me when I thought I was "all that". So I'll just pass.......

Here's a hoot - the perfect compliment for your best GoFast Team bike :

I met my first poser in about 1977. He had a schwinn paramount, size 19", which was used to soak up city miles going down to the bike shop to talk. I remember overhearing this guy ~ in all the schwinn paramount lycra ~ at the local "in-a-garage" bike shop ~ talking about ... schwinn paramounts ... how they were made in chicago ... and how he just wasn't happy with his seat tube, and because he had a paramount, he was thinking of sending 140 mi north to Chicago for a seat tube replacement, do you think a better seat tube would improve the handling of his paramount ??? oh pleeeeaassee ...

His bike was pristine because it only was used for the 1 mile ride down to the bike shop, and then was used as a prop, to stimulate speech. his bike never saw a club ride in its entire life. and i think if it ever did, it would see the club riders going further and further ahead, while the paramount got farther and farther behind ...
