Ted was all set to do this exhibit at last year's Velo Rendezvous but
had to cancel when he was told he was being inducted into the US Cycling Hall of Fame (they flew Ted and his wife back there).

Born in Chicago, IL. Ted started racing at the age of 14, competing
in over 1000 races. American Professional Track Champion in 1959. Coached international and Olympic caliber athletes and managed World Championship and National Teams. Served on the USCF Board of Directors for 7 years during the 1960\u2019s and 1970\u2019s. USCF licensed
race official for many years. He founded the South Bay Wheelmen in 1961 which produced many national caliber athletes and US National Team members. Ernst\u2019s contributions to the industry included the early promotion of reflectorized pedals, using customized components (stems, cranks, etc) to ensure proper bicycle fit and the import/ export of European racing bicycles. Promoted cycling at the family/ recreation level and top level racer from his bicycle shop in Manhattan Beach, CA.

They forgot to include that Ted founded the Manhattan Beach Grand Prix in 1961 making it the third oldest race in the US!
