Dear Members,

Such a loss!! My feelings are beyond words....

I met him only once. I drove to Boston to pick up a bike I had "won" on eBay (1998) and decided to swing by Harris Cyclery to see the place and chat a bit with Sheldon. It was a Saturday and also Sheldon's day off. I had some questions (obscure questions about Japanese frames and tubing) and one of the employees called him at home. We talked for a few minutes and he asked how long I was staying at the shop. I said it depends, and he answered, "I'll be right over..."

He took me to the "cave" and showed me all of his neat little projects (he was a fantastic experimenter). I was entertained and also overwhelmed by all he had to offer and say.

I have used the delete key quite a bit, but never when I saw a response from 'Captain Bike!!'

I'm certain he now has a gold internal gear (with wings).

You will be missed Mr. Brown.
