Hi CR List Members, THE CLASSIC RENDEZVOUS HOME PAGE has information about most swap meets, listed under the,"CALENDAR OF EVENTS" section off to the right hand side of the Main CLASSIC RENDEZVOUS PAGE. See http://www.classicrendezvous.com. or http://www.stopswapandsave.com (event promoter)

The 11TH ANNUAL "STOP,SWAP and SAVE", SWAP MEET IS SUNDAY,FEBRUARY 10TH, 2008 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. http://www.stopswapandsave.com/The event is sold out to VENDORS,but you can still buy a five dollar entry ticket per person,as a buyer OR participant in the NEWLY OFFERED WORKSHOPS.

The event opens to the public at 9 a.m. and it's best to get there early. The vendors start setting up as early as 6 a.m. Some creative people sell items while standing in line,or walking up and down the line hawking items.Food is usually available inside the event. The town of Westminster has a bagel shop that is open on Main Street if you're coming in from the North. If you're coming in from the South you need to get you coffee or bite to eat well before you get to the swap meet location. The Carroll County Agriculture Center is on the south side of "downtown". This event has grown by leaps and bounds and is truly an event not to miss! All sorts of bicycle related sundries from new to old are to be found at this SWAP MEET. Only Trexlertown in Pennsylvania is a larger swap meet here in the Middle Atlantic. CR members from Conneticut New York,New Jersey,Delaware, Maryland,Ohio,Virginia and West Virginia usually attend! Groups like BIKES FOR THE WORLD will be there taking donations of unwanted bicycle items. Bicycle couriers from the larger Northeastern U.S. cities are there in large numbers. It's a fun lively event and over before you realize it. A great way to spend a SUNDAY afternoon if you're not working!

Yours truly,
Marty Walsh in Vienna,Virginia,USA
