Hmmm. I looked at those for quite a while. Wasn't sure what to make of them. Then I figured it out. This is what you're thinking of

I think "(_)/(_)" is a warning sign put on narrow racing saddles. You know, careful, if you've got a wide end, the seat may disappear...
On that note, I'm going out for a ride. On my narrow racing saddle. :)
