Charles,
Do you really have a Cinelli frame with a 68mm bottom
bracket shell? Or has someone installed a spindle meant for
thin walled English cups (e.g Gran Sport spingle) with
thick-wall (i.e. Nuovo Record) Italian cups?
Note too, as Greg mentioned, that a Campagnolo Italian
spindle will be slightly longer than a similar English spindle.
This is meant to handle the extra width of the BB shell.
