I think Caleb was pretty accurate in pointing out why we look for the things we do. In the 60s having multiple bikes was a rarity , with me I sold my Bianchi TEAM bike to buy a Cinelli which in turn was stolen. Around 1970 I was riding on the Mendocino coast and met a fellow riding a metallic Green Hetchins with curly stays. I worked at a bike shop while going to college but could not afford a Ron Cooper frameset . I called on Fulton street cyclery in SF and always admired those Jack Taylors.

In fact this is an answer to John Waners question about "Holy Grail" bikes
