Subject: [CR]Sakae of England?

I have in my stash several Sakae Custom 'Road Champion' handle bars.

Most and the obviously more recent (early/mid 1980's) are marked as follows when facing the logo's on the front edge of the bars.

Within the left hand side laurel wreath marking 'Sakae Custom Japan' and;

within the right hand side laurel wreath marking 'SR Road Champion'.

These bars also have a sleeved ferule for stem mounting.

However today I found a somewhat different pair.

The stem mounting ferule is swaged not sleeved and;

The laurel wreaths are swapped left for right to now read on the left as you face the front edge of the bars 'SR Road Champion' and on the right ' Sakae Custom England'.

The question is: Who made handlebars for Sakae in England? GB perhaps? Any info?
