I'm an old geezer, but quite computer-savvy. I've used the Internet ever since it became available to the general public and have been playing with computers starting before the CR cut-off date, not even counting the IBM punch cards back in university. However, there have been lots of times when I've been unable to find stuff in the archives, even when I knew it should be there. I'm sure I'm using the right syntax per the instructions, yet nada. Now I'm sure there are people on this list who are a lot less computer-savvy, just witness all the requests to be removed from the list, something you should be able to do yourself. So I agree with Tom about not jumping on people and directing them to the archives. In many cases they probably already checked, but were unable to dig anything up.
