Subject: [CR]Larz, Dan Artley ride, Ebay curiosity

Given I have too much work to do right now, I have missed out on two events that I had hoped to participate in this weekend: Yesterday’s ride hosted by Dan Artley and today’s Larz Anderson show. I have read the ride reports from Dan’s ride but still hope to see some photos. Any news or photos from Larz yet?

On another matter, while I have been taken the occasional break from my work I have taken a glance at ebay and today’s tour stage. The tour was fantastic today (I hope it didn’t detract from participation at Larz!) and ebay is always good for a chuckle or two.

One auction that caught my attention was this one:

http://ebay.com/<blah>

Am I the only one who finds it odd that a NOS crankset would be made up of one crank from one manufacturer (SIAMT) and the other by another manufacturer (Magistroni)? The seller is far too knowledgeable to ever make an error, so does this mean that some marketer in the 50's combined the parts from the two makers?
