I read your post about Norman and your dilemma regarding your fork..Here is what I would do.

Since you are going to have patina problems with fork matching the frame I would contact Robert Freeman at Elliot Bay Bicycles, and here is why. Bob has personally met the Taylor's and is and authority on the Taylor frames. I bet if you twist his arm a little he can create the fork you seek for that beautiful "beater" that you just purchased. he also has the decals for that bike as the Taylor's gave him permission to recreate them. I have use the decals on my Taylor and they look great.
