Personally, I would love my children to be the caretakers of the things I loved. I buy things now with a view towards that. Of course, if my children are not interested in taking care of my bikes i n my memory, I would rather give the bikes to someone who would love them or at least appreciate them. Unfortunately, there's never any guarantee that your children will share your interests.

On the other hand,I do think I'll make some provisions in my will ... as to which child or grandchild gets what. I just mean that I do think about it.
