Subject: [CR]sturmey-archer cogs

Group -- Even though there were two speed specific cogs made for the sturm y hub, you can combine just about any two cogs and make them work. The " normal" Sturmey cog has a threaded lock ring. For a second cog, if you j ust put the second cog on backwards and use it as a lock ring. By installin g it backwards, the spacing is fine for the two speed setup. Some of the Sturmy hubs have a wire ring clip that holds the cog on.. by playing with spacers, you can make that one work also. I believe that there were thre e different systems on the hubs for the attatchment of the cogs.. including one cog that has splines on it (which may have been for the ASC fixed only ), so your individual hub will dictate which pieces you will need..
