Subject: [CR]Early Campy crank bolts!

OK everybody- here's a little gem for you. There's 2 early versions of Campy crank bolts that are rare and maybe valuable:

1) The earliest version (?) that has a chromed head, but only the outer top/uppermost part of the head is *shiny* chrome. The depression in the middle is chromed, but not polished and shiny. These are good. I will pay up to $50 each for NOS or excellent examples.

2) A later, but still early and scarce version is all black like the common 70's ones, but the "O" in Campagnolo is oval rather than round, and the orientation of the words CAMPAGNOLO and PATENT are such that when you look at the words on the head, both words read "right". On the common 70's version, when you look at the words on the head, CAMPAGNOLO will read "right", but "PATENT" will be upside down.

There is a similar situation with the Campy pedal dust caps-- BUT, it's just the opposite. The early pedal dust caps have the words oriented like the later crank bolts. Study the picture at the link below:
