Subject: [CR]FS: 1976 Moser frame and fork (yes, the other Moser)

Good day all,

Besides the stuff I put on Ebay, more has to go. So I'm offering to the list this interesting (to me, anyway!) c. 1976 Moser frame and fork. Some more info is welcome I think.

First, the brandname: it appears (and I got this info from the list archives) that there is another 'Moser' bike brand in Trento, and this second one (besides Francesco of course) appears to be the oldest by far. They started up in 1933 and still exist: http://www.mosercicli.it.

I'm dating this frame to 1976, it was fitted with an assortment of Japanese parts, not all in good condition I might add, and the oldest part was a Sugini chainset from 1975. I believe the long Campy dropouts will support my claim to 1976. This is an attractive frame, but somewhat abused. Several scrapes in the paint are a result of that. However the scrapes do show that the frame is probably fully, or largely, chromed. The frame has some nice details, I particularly like the bb shell, with the slotted underside, and the chainstay bridge. Chrome on fork crown has some corrosion, the rear and front dropouts are fine. The seatstay caps also show soem corrosion. maybe the corrosion can be polished away. I can't really tell what tubing was used. The seatpost that came with the frame was a 26.8 mm, a cheap Japanese thing. On the other hand, the frame is not that heavyl: fork + crown race: 788 grams, main frame + headset cups + gearlevers: 2228 grams. By the shape of the fork legs I'd say its definitely Columbus tubing, but I couldn't find the dove on the steerer tube. The frame includes the Tange Falcon headset (in perfect condition) and the period correct Campy gearlevers.

Geometry and measurements are as follows:

- seattube 56 c-t (really!) - toptube 55 c-c - 125 mm rear spacing - 995 mm wheelbase
