I hate it when the message I sent gets collapsed by my email system. Tryin g again to see if this more readable.

Sorry ..................

I have a Gitane TDF that I wanted to present to the CR list before taking i t elsewhere. History suggests it is from 73-74 time period. The frame isa 6 0 cm center to center. It has been through a complete rebuild with the exce ption of the wheels. It needs new tires as the sew-ups are not safe toride in their condition (IMHO). I would call the overall condition as good. Ther e is some rust 'crazing' in the paint, mostly on the underside of the top
and down tubes. I would call this very minor. The decal set is verygood wi th the exception of the Reynolds 531 sticker on the seat tube. Why is that everyone has to destroy this decal in their bike stand??? The chromeis pret ty good with some mild pitting. The wheels where build up with non-SS spoke s and they look kind of bad ..... I would rebuild these wheels if I was goi ng to ride this bike. Here is the Component make up: MAFAC Competition Bra kes and leversCampagnolo Tipo hubs, Mavic Championnat Du Monde rimsSugino
