I just joined the list. I recently started rebuilding a 1987 Schwinn Paramount. The original fork was long ago damaged so the person I bought the frame from included a Guerciotti fork. I am trying to determine what vintage and construction the fork is so I can decide whether or not to use it with the Schwinn, but there are only a few markings. It has Guerciotti rainbow decals on the legs but the crown mark is different than the Star mark (with G inside) I have generally seen on Guerciotti forks. My fork has a large G on the crown with a small star above the G. It seems to be a nice fork, has Campy dropouts and seller thought the tubes were columbus SLX. If anyone can tell me whether my specifc mark (again large G with small star above) has any signifcance from a date or frame model standpoint, I would much appreciate it.
