Howdy, all!
I recently acquired a bike that is not really my 'cup of tea', but I think that someone out there might find irresistable- a 54cm c.1952 Raleigh 'Sports' 3-speed, with a very interesting aftermarket 9-speed conversion kit. A Simplex 'Rigidex' rear derailleur and a J. Moynes 3-speed freewheel were added to this bike, yielding a total of 9 available gears. Bike is almost fully original- seat is a newer B-72, and the original grips are gone, but everything else appears to be original spec (except for tires). Dynohub on the front wheel is still functional; only a derailleur cable is needed to make the drivetrain fully functional. Paint is faded but I have rubbed out a test section, and it looks good; same with the chrome- needs polishing, but no severe pitting anywhere.
Pix on request; asking $250 + actual shipping, or trade for ?
Thanks to all, Larry Myers Portland, OR, USA
