I have a very nice Mclean frame from around 1981. It's obviously a touring frame as it has fender eyelets and touring geometry. I've built up a bunch of bikes with Campy and am looking for something a little different. Also, Campy wasn't really into the whole touring thing. The frame has English threading and is made for non-recessed sidepull brakes. I'm not crazy about going with a triple. I'd rather have an "early compact crank", possibly 50/36. The following list of components are only suggestions. I'm more than open to some give and take. My only requirements are French, approximate period-correctness and excellent performance for a touring bike. I may use this bike on some brevets this year and I also plan on bringing it to Cirque.
