I don't know if this has been mentionned before, but I think it is of importance to note that the buyer of the Gloria frame is a new Japanese bidder. There have been a number of new buyers from Japan lately, creating inflated prices, and I think there will be quite a few more to come, for the following reason :

Along the same lines, does anyone know what the top price all time on eBay is for a complete bike, and for a bike part (I recall a Record 60 Simplex went for c. 6700 USD, or was it 5700, a couple of years ago)
